Job Responsibilities of an IE.

• Balance the line due to absenteeism within 20 min. Involve production people also.
• Make sure capacity as per target where you balance because of absent.
• Make target sheet & give target to the supervisor with APM/PM.
• Make a rhythm with supervisor in line to hit first hour target.
• Make Capacity Graph every style on 3rd day of production & follow-up until hit pick target.
• Find & solve bottle neck for smooth line output.
• Update skill matrix on regular basis.
• Record all kinds of NPT & report to Dept. head.
• Check plan every day to know about new style loading date.
• Make a Style Changeover checklist & follow accordingly for smooth line feeding.
• Make line layout, discuss with respective person 3 days in advance & h/o to supervisor.
• Select right operator in right operation with line supervisor based on skill.
• Handover to mechanic 3days prior to feeding to keep machine ready to set
• Check hourly production report & work on low performing area.
• Counselling to motivate the operator to achieve their target.
• Counselling new joined operator about incentive scheme to motivate them.
• Review efficiency report of respective line with production concern once in a day.
• Any other activities/report asking by the Management/HOD, always need to do on time.

Note: Always need to think about line balancing like at first morning, after all break (Lunch, Tiffin) in case of absenteeism, operator sickness & sudden leave.
